WESTPORT BARS ANNOUNCES $100,000 CHARITABLE COMMITMENT FOR 2026 AND KICKS OFF WITH ANTI VALENTINES DAY CHARITY PUB CRAWL

Westport Bars announced a major charitable initiative for 2026, setting a goal to donate over $100,000 to local Kansas City nonprofits through a series of community driven events across its Westport venues. The initiative includes 10 charity focused events throughout the year and formalizes giving back as a core part of the organization’s event programming.

This announcement follows strong momentum from two recent charity crawls, where over $20,000 was raised for Kansas City organizations focused on crime prevention and community safety.

“Our venues exist because of the community that supports us,” said Brett Allred, owner of Westport Bars. “As we continue to grow, it is important that our impact grows with it. These events allow us to bring people together while directly supporting organizations that make Kansas City safer and stronger.”

The first event under this expanded charitable initiative is the Anti Valentines Day Charity Pub Crawl, taking place Friday February 13, 2026, beginning at 9pm across six Westport bars. The crawl is designed for guests who prefer drinks over roses and combines drink specials, interactive experiences, and a charitable mission.

For a $10 entry, participants receive access to $1 drink specials from 9pm to 11pm, a punch card for the crawl, and the chance to win a $1000 raffle prize. Guests who complete their punch card by visiting all six bars can turn it in at Westport Landing, where the raffle drawing will take place at 1:30am. Throughout the night, 2000 pairs of heart shaped sunglasses will be given away while supplies last.

A featured highlight of the crawl is the Shred Your Ex Station hosted at Bar & Rec, where guests can shred a photo of an ex for a free shot. The activation offers a playful and cathartic twist on the Valentine’s Day season with no judgment and only healing.

Ten percent of proceeds from the Anti Valentines Day Charity Pub Crawl will benefit KC 360, a Kansas City based nonprofit focused on violence prevention, crisis intervention, and community support. KC 360 works directly with individuals and neighborhoods to reduce violence through outreach, mentorship, and access to critical resources.

PARTICIPATING BARS INCLUDE

Additional charity events scheduled for 2026 include St Patrick’s Day Crawl, Cinco De Mayo Crawl, Pride Crawl, Summer Luau Crawl, Cold Plunge Charity Event, Oktoberfest Crawl, Halloween Crawl, Turkey Trot Crawl and a Christmas Crawl. Charity partners and event details will be announced ahead of each event.

Westport Bars invites local media to help build awareness around this initiative and the upcoming Anti Valentines Day Charity Pub Crawl as the first opportunity for guests to participate in this expanded commitment to giving back.
